Hello all, new AAA member here.

I just installed IF-2 for the first time in a long time, and ran it a bit. Later on, my friend sends me the patch located here for 409b1m. After installing, the game will no longer load and crashes at 5%.

I've tried reinstalling with the same results. I'm not sure what to do from here, but I'm sure you IL-2 vets will have some great suggestions for me.

Edit - So you're all aware, my sound setting is at 44100 Hz.
I'm using Windows Vista 32-bit, 2GB Ram, AMD Athlon Dual Core 5200+ 2.6 GHz, and a GeForce 9800 GTX+.

Reckon you may have got your patch order wrong joe - did you go straight from 4.07 to 4.09 ? you need to install 4.08 as well (if I remember correctly). Also try dropping your sound setting to 22K.

I think ALL 5% crashes were due to incorrect patching or sound ?? Perhaps somebody will corect me on that!

I knew someone here could help! Thank you making; installing the 408 patch and then the 409 patch again fixed the problem right away!
