[MOD] Lockheed P2V Neptune *New Aircraft*
#61

I do have the sounds of the Wright_Cyclone1820_Series. Ive got one on the x/ubisoft/1946/files/presets/sounds called "motor.R1820.prs" and on the x/ubisoft/1946/files/Samples Ive got 3 other files (regarding the Wright Cyclone 1820) called "r1820_1000.wav" and "r1820_3000.wav" and "r1820_3001.wav".

Are there any files missing on thoose folders?

Cause if they are thats whats causing the engine sounds problems on the Neptune.

Regards!

Hi!

Your are an awesome modders and your new baby look really great and detailed!

Since I can't install it for some days (I'm out for work to the end of june) can I ask you a little question:

Did I must to add the weapons_ru string in the STD folder or not?

If I don't I'm ok but if I must where can I find them?

cheers

These are 2 prs files

motor.Wright_Cyclone1820_Series.prs
motor.Wright_Cyclone1820_tb.prs

open first one for edit and look if you have proper *.wav files in it.For me it is different as I use custom soundmod and my wav files are changed to that of P&W 1830

lol guys, you're getting mislead, the airplane does not use the Wright 1820 engines, it uses the R-3350 engines, the same as the B-29, just like it did in REAL LIFE.

AIRdomination Wrote:The Mk.34 torpedo used Passive Homing guidance IRL... is that so in-game with this baby? If so, how does it work?

This is one of the best beauty's I've ever seen. Good work.

Can someone please answer this question? Sad

The plane use the R3350 engine BUT the "engine sound" its Wright_Cyclone1820_Series. I post it.

At the moment there are no guided torpedo in IL2. Neither my Mk34 torpedoes. I am happy if someone can make them work as they should.

S!

Main point is to have correct prs file pointing at correct wav files.Thats all. Those of you having problems ask Flakiten to post what exact prs you need and what wav files.Mine is working good.

r1820_3000.wav and r1820_3001.wav are probably not correct names cause none of the other engines in game has such rpm in name.

As I told you before.Open prs file
motor.Wright_Cyclone1820_Series.prs

or if it is R 3350 open

motor.R-3350.prs

and look at what wav files it is pointing.Check if you have them in your samples folder.
Thats all,I cant help you no more

[color=yellow]At the "engine model" file the sound was set as Wright_Cyclone1820_Series. I have two installations of the game. One with the Unified Installer and other without it. In both the neptune has sound. Maybe it

It is not problem of your mod,Flak  Its problem of users using many different types of soundmods where often same engines are named differently and it brings lot of confusion into it.People playing with downloading WIP mods should at least have some basics about how the things are running.Otherwise it is not good to mess with it and wait till next U.I. Idea

Continue with your great job Flakiten 8)

Brano, I'm using the same sound mod 9.2 for months. No problem with engine sounds until I d/l Neptune. This is the first time I've encountered a sound problem. I'm sure I speak for others as well.

Thank you for your response flakitten. But I must say that I am sitll getting the same sounds as I do in my B-29's... Don't know if thats normal or not, but I like it better that way anyways lol...

And thank you for replying on the torpedo. once again: very great work on the neptune. Been looking forward to this one. Smile

Beautiful job! but I don't succeed in installing any mods manual.
I have A/C INSTALLER 3.8 WRAPPER, I have written everything in the file air.ini in alphabetical order.
I have installed the UNIFIED INSTALLER
