Griffin sound help please
#1

I just installed the Spit mk 14 (what a rocket!) but the engine is so loud I cant hear guns, wingmen, gear, flaps or anything else.
I go to samples/ Griffon, but I cant figure out how to turn down the volume.
Appreciate any help. thanks.

If you don't have any mixing software, the easiest thing to use is the Sound Recorder that comes standard with XP (I'm assuming Vista has an equivalent). It's under Start/All Programs/Accessories/Entertainment.

Open your Griffon .wavs (...1946/MODS/Griffon_Sounds)with Sound recorder one by one and adjust the sound volume on each and make sure to SAVE each change. It's a hassle but it works. It's a primitive program and adjusts the sound by more or less 25% increments--you'll want to make sure you adjust each .wav the same amount.

Hope this helps...

If I might make a suggestion... Big Grin

Try Jafa's modified Griffon sound!

IMHO this is much better than the stock version ( which is nice too but I am a big fan of Jafa's soundmods 8)
