I have noticed that recently, in FMB, when I try to test fly a mission I am creating the game freezes and I have to reboot, as task manager doesn't work. When I go back into IL2 FMB and click on file etc, Ifind the drop down menus are empty. I went into the game folder and noticed the bldconf file is there but empty. So I have to keep copying and pasting my back up file in c drive and replace the one in the game folder. Why does the bldconf file keep going blank? Also a mission file, I have been working on for weeks, has done the same thing. After being fine for weeks the saved properties file has suddenly gone blank ( it says 0 kb). The mis file is fine but obviously the mission can't load and is lost!!!!! Unfortunately I didn't back up this file and now I'm regretting it!!! What is happening? Please can someone help, very much appreciated if you can. :?

It sounds like you've contracted a nasy little Virus or Malware. I would HIGHLY recommend you do a full system scan using Spybot Search and Destroy, MalwareBytes and Avira Antivirus in that order.

If that turns up nothing then are you using Vista and is your game in the default location?
If so, move the game to a different folder outside of the "Program Files" directory. Also turn off or change the settings for UAC (User Account Controls).
