Is there really a 13th squadron back in japans airforce in WWII
Like Shun Ogawa, is he a real ace or is this game just making up Aces?

Shun Ogawa and the 13th is a character from the game "Heroes of the Pacific", not from IL2
since their Squad is a fictional setup (flying Shinden I think) this is shurely completely fiction.
I have never read of a real pilot of that name. and i have read quite some lists by now. LOL
there indeed was a Kokutai 13 in the Navy and a 13th shotai in the Army but I know nothing of their history, I don't think they where special since the 13 is not special to the japanese as it is to us.
