[VIDEO] Remixed Air Races in Campus Party'09 + Race Skinpack
#1

Recently I've posted the combat videos I recorded in the biggest spanish lan meet, Campus Party at Valencia.

Now it's the time to post the remix of the best moments I lived in the IL-2 races flown online (no mods in competition) with people from there. Pings from 0 to 1 for the people on the lan, and up to 50 for the people connected from home...

This is a no mods quick music video about it all:

The complete series of races, 5 long videos with comms in spanish, are here:
http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p ... 85DA59AA38

Also, if you want to race with some of the skins on the video, you can download it from here (authored by Finnatar):
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=G7K5NMW5

Scenarios are being packed in another updated pack, will be ready when some modifications will be tested. The old racing scenarios pack was this:

PS: I know it's not my best video, it's just for fun. I'm very unhappy with FPS when recorded in live (this is why sometimes there are text on screen), so after this video I'm going for a complete new Pc.

Ps2: Edited links to skinpack and race pack, sorry!

Nice Video!
Where is it made (which Map?) It is perfect for Air Race, the Airfield is on the right Position, the River gives a way,
and the Mountains make it more exciting.

This is a mix of 5 other videos, flown in 4 scenarios. As I remember, one was Marianas, other Pearl Harbor, and I miss the name of the third, the one with light brown ground, and the fouth, the one that follows the river track.

Finnatar, the author of the scenarios, is preparing a pack with his races. Will post here when ready... Smile

Hi Tuckie,

Your link is to racing missions. Perhaps if you have time, you could post the skins. They look great.

Hasta L.

Do you mean a track? Will send it, but hope you'll have a different style of videomaking, or people will bore the same sequences. In any case you have room for improvement, so we flew races without mods and I recorded it with no mods. By using the common cam mods and some video effects you can easily do a better video, I assume it; I'm more focused on other projects and got no time to work more on this video, just decided to launch as it was... Cool, looks just like what I do every saturday. If you guys want to race go to www.simairracing.com and get yourself a number. Then on Fridays and Saturdays there are races every week (you participate on one of the days only, depending on which time is best for you). Password to the Air Racing server is also shown on that site. The server can be found on hyperlobby all week. Normally the official race map is up by wednesday giving racers time to practice or you can just jump in on saturday and have fun Smile Up to 20 racers normally for each track. 6 races per track every weekend. Saturday is 6pm GMT (London). Very fun and for the more professional racers very technical Wink

P.S. You need to turn mods off to join the server CRT=2. Unmodified UI1.1 should get through but no other modded games. If you find you don't get through with an unmodified UI1.1 then you must turn mods off. (This is due to cheating issues etc... a few more hp for your engine and you could get much further ahead of everyone else, little bits really count in racing) Also you must spawn with empty loadout otherwise you will be issued warning points and without around 20 seconds you will be kicked (possible timeban i don't know) This is so people do not shoot in races, a problem we've had occurring in the past.
