Hay Planemad here,
Started making some BOB mission and started play the RAF campaign for Singapore and I always run dry (out of ammo)
and call it a day, I wish we could land park somewhere and get some more ammo, I think the would help people who play on realistic (like me) to make it more realistic,

Actually, this would make it much less realistic. IRL, it takes a long time (several minutes at least) to refuel a fighter, let alone a bigger plane with multiple tanks. Rearming is even more time consuming. It would be more realistic if the pilot just hopped out and got into a fresh a/c.
During the BOB the aircraft were re-armed and re-fueled straight away as they were never sure when another scramble will sound, however it is also true that a pilot would not land re-arm and re-fuel to rejoin the fight as it'd be over by the time he got there.
Also because of the above reason, a pilot would not jump into a fresh aircraft because either there simply wasn't a spare available because they were all on task, but by the time he got to height and position his squadron would of disengaged anyway.

this thread has been made before, the consensus was it wasn't really possible i think.

I mean for Battle of Britain Like keep you engine running and than you ammo is full, you don't have to re-fuel as well,
The one that's built into the game is pretty good, actualy. You land, hit refly, and the game nows exactly how much time to "skip" you into the future. It's a pretty cool time warp feature. it calculates the time it would take for the ground crew to crack open the gun bays load the ammo. Then, it factors in the drive time for the fuel truck to get to your location and knows the Gal per minute fuel flow on the the fuel pump on the truck (it even allows for the time it takes to properly ground the fuel truck and plane, saftey 1st :wink: )
Are you losing oil? They're gonna have to check that too. Food? When was the last time you ate? The next mission may be a long one.
As you can see, its a pretty sophisticated time calculator/time warp feature. :lol:
just hit re-fly and wallah your refueled and rearmed...
