I hope some one can help ? Now when I build a mission the AA and Flak guns will NOT FIRE.
If anyone has an answer that would be great.
I can pick a blue team plane fly to the red team base and land. It says on screen that I'm on the ground safe and sound.
This should not be the case. :?: :?: :?:
Did you put anything in the "sleep" or "distance away" categories?

I think I found the Answer. Up until yesterday I had not used SANDBAGS.
I used them on every gun I placed in the game. By removing most of them they now fire.
I really do not know if the sand bags have anything to do with AA, but I do know that the distance setting in meters does. If the distance is set to low they will not trigger a fireing resolution... check lthe distance setting..
Sanbags can get in the way of AA, and they'll block anything trying to fire over them. Kind of silly, really...
The same problem accours also to artillery when placed on the different fortification stuff, you accually have to test out everything to see if they work together if im not wrong this has something to do with the collision heigt of every object.
so if you place a gun inside a fortification and the barrel is fine and clear out the slot in the wall it will still not fire. silly but thats how it works.

Thanks too ALL. I removed a lot of the bags and things seem to work fine now. Live and Learn.
Again THANKS ALL S
ok, a simple way to find whether or not you can fire over sand bags, entrenchments, etc, look for the center of rotation of the barrel. if it is above/in front the sandbags, then it will fire fine. you can use this to get MG's to fire out of trenches by placing them so that the gun mini- tripod center is barely ahead of the trench. You can get the gun emplacement feel in 50 cal AA guns, by using 5+ streight sandbags to form the defence instead of 1 circle. you can take up the extra space with ammo boxes, and add another soldier object to look like he is grabbing ammo (again, out of any areas the gun will fire though) to add a touch of life to the scene, which really completes the image when you are flying over a troop concentration etc.
