I just reinstalled Winzip (I am being cheap, and just reinstalling Winzip every time evaluation runs out). Now it is extracting .rar files EXTREMELy slowly, about one file per second, so it takes about half an hour to install one plane. I have tried 7Zip, but it won't even open on my computer... :evil:

Your problem is due to a Windows Update for which there is a new Winzip update as well to fix it, but the others are correct. There are programs that work just as well if not better than Winzip.
I for one, prefer 7ZIP. I opens all sorts of compresses files. Not just RAR, ZIP, ACE or 7Z files.
