I had a similar problem. I could join the Spits v 109 mods server but if i selected a Spit IXc, Vb or Mossie FBIV i got kicked with (plane check failed)timeout=2

I could fly german and US planes from the same map and Mossie bomber version. This led me to think it might be a british gunsight issue as previously I had enabled the british reticule mod by removing the '-'.

However returning the '-' made no difference, nor did removing the folder altoghter (i have put it back now)

I have a virgin 1.2 install, no extra mods.

any ideas? I have posted at WOP as well and if they come up with an answer i'll post here.

Thanks for your help.

Disable FMB and prop tex in your mods folder ..worked for me..but..I can't fly Betty or TBM's and some other planes because of a planecheck failure..other than that I can fly most planes ..
I'd be patient on the Warbird servers..they have some major issues to work before its running good .

I think i have solved my problem.

I had a single corrupt file in my installation (it was my second installation as the original files had lots of corruptions), it was the PDF with details of the Burma map contained within the _DOCS_ folder. However as i was able to join servers with CRT=2 with no trouble i thought nothing of it. However i read somewhere that any corrupt file might cause problems.

So i wnet away and used Winrar to test the UI 1.2 files that I had used in my installation (as described at the start of the UI 1.2 downlaod thread) and found that the corrupt file was in pack 1.7.

I then downloaded 1.7 again and replaced the 1.7 in my installation. I then did the Winrar test again and got no problems.

I then just copied the burma map pdf file into the _DOCS_ folder and tried a server again. Unfortunatly it wasnt running a map with a stock spitfire (the spits that where failing CRT=2 for me), but it did have the modded Spit XIV and that caused no problems. I will test it again with a stock spit when I can but i think i have a totally uncorrupted setup now and it appears to work

Moral of the story. Dont have any corrupt files or you may fail CRT=2.

need to disable the 01_Zuti_MDS mod or it messes with servers not running it

Well Guys I fixed my problem. I have my game already patched to 409b1m and so all I did was delete the Mods and files folder and then I just re-installed the UI 1.1 and UI 1.1.1, then I add the UI 1.2. I went into the Spits and 109's modded server with no problems and I got into my squadrons server Forgotten Skies with no problems as well....Good luck guys hope you can figure yours out....If you cant try what I did...

I ran the Winrar test and in par 2 to par 8 and in all the folders i was getting the same corrupt fire messages:

MODS\_DOCS_\ BurmaLower_readme.pdf is corrupt

MODS\ P38F-1-LO\3do\Plane\ P38F-1-LO (Multi)\Keel1_D3.msh is corrupt

MODS\ P51D-25NA\3do\Plane\P51D-25NA(GB)\Keel1_D3.msh is corrupt

Does this mean i will need to download all those files again Sad ???

I reinstalled UI 1.2 over my old installation after I found out that I had some corrupted files. I put everything back to the recommended state on the Monguse installation thread. AND I STILL GET THIS CRT=2 failed timeout 1 message......
I am struggling for a full day with that????

Anybody has an idea what to do next?

i too did a clean install, adjusted the mods ( red, blue, green ) and get crt fail on the birds of prey servers and most HL servers. 4.08 still works though. ive pretty much given up.

Something I remember from a past clean install was to run the game after each upgrade. I have no idea if this is utter bull or not but my upgrades in the past, when I have done this, seem to work well.

Currently downloading everything and will definitely run rar tests (is this like a checksum or something)?

My earlier reports of success where exagerated.. I still cant fly stock Spits, mossies ot TBF/ TBN, and those are the ones i know about.

My install is clean UI1.2, no corruptions (followed all the advice on that) but still there is CRT failures, no extra mods.

Not sure what to do next other than avoiding certain aeroplanes!
