Having a trouble on joining to game
#1

I've installed UI 1.2 by your instructions and it works fine on offline gaming, but i still can't join to your IL-2 servers. what is this about? Connection error says that i'm using wrong version of the game, altough i have UI 1.2 in the IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 mod-named folder and right version activated.

If you will look more closely at that error message, you will find that it says something more...

go to ur mods folder, find 01_Zuti_DSMod_v0.8_RC3.5, rename it to -01_Zuti_DSMod_v0.8_RC3.5 (add a hypen) to disable it. then try joining again.

I have the same problem as well.

I've run the version switcher so I'm running 4.08 with 6DOF.
When I try to join a random server it says the following:

"Connection attempt to remote host rejected. Reason: Server uses a different version of the game (4.08m). "

I have triede patching to 4.08 without 6DOF, that didn't help. When I used the UI 1.1 everything worked great..
It's annoying it doesn't work, because I like playing on the SOV server..

Well, I tried to disable that mod, and it worked, more or less...

Without any additional information, it is the most likely cause of the OP's problem.

It depends on what the message says. The ZUTI DSMod message will also specify the version of DSMod running on the server. A CRT=2 fail will say Timeout1, not a game version mismatch. But the ZUTI mismatch will kick you before the CRT=2 happens.

Just want to make sure i understand this. If you add a hyphen it should clear up the crt2=failed problem because thats my problem.

No, this is not going to fix a CRT=2 failed problem.

Not as a general rule, no. The basic rule for the ZUTI DSMod is that you must run the same DSMod version as the server. If you try to connect to a server with a different version of DSMod, the error message you get will say something like "server runs different version of the game 4.0x + DSMod v 0.x" If the server does not run ANY DSMod, then yes, disable it and connect.

For CRT=2, the server will check all the mods you have (subject to some exceptions) and kick you if there is a discrepancy, with an error message something like "Timeout:1 CRT=2 Fail". To fix this, you need to make sure you have enabled all the same mods as the server...nor more...no less.

Thanks for the help.

OK, but I think I might be wrong about which one will kick you first, CRT=2 or DSMod, so I deleted that line from my previous post. What is true, is that CRT=2 will kick you before incorrect GAME version will kick you, i.e. if you try to connect to 4.09b1m server with 4.08m game.

u can have the correct mods and no "extra" mods and still fail the crt check.
