I love the Prowler, however I really think we should stick to WWII. WWI is enough as it is, HOWEVER, WWII into modern day aircraft would be a fun project, you just need to separate it from IL-2. Give him a break, guys, it's not that bad of an idea. I think it would be fascinating to see how the tides would be turned at Hiroshima and Nagasaki if TOJO had Prowlers. You wouldn't be able to include the aircraft in things like UI1.2 or mod packs that go with the original series, but you could most certainly throw out a new project. I'm not sure who would back you up, though.

You've got to be kidding me, read my post about the F-4 and the Prowler... The sim has been pushed to and just over its limits with the F-86A-5NA and the Mig 15. He was banned for being rude and stupid.

Correction Deac, IL2 can possibly take a Prowler, but will it be a sensible/historical thing to have? No. I'm surprised that you haven't learnt by now that IL2 is not a Vietnam or Gulf War sim. It was originally intended to be a pure WW2 sim. Anything that goes waaaay over Mach 1 (like an F-4, BAC Lightning or SR-71) or requires complex avionics to fly (Eurofighter Typhoon) cannot possibly fly in this sim. We wouldn't be able to make radar guided/heat seeking missiles or bombs either that would go with it. Heck, an A6 will probably outfly almost every fighter we have. And that would make this game completely pointless. Please don't forget everyone (including me at times :oops that IL2 started as a WW2 simulator and you will not get any planes built from around the mid 50's onwards anytime soon. You will have to wait for Storm of War to get you SR-71. :twisted:

I don't support Vietnam or Gulf War movements for this sim. Right now, it won't work... It would take a total re-write of the engine.
