Anyone trying to fix there menu freeze problem, try setting your desktops resolution to your games resolution, or the other way around to fix this problem.

or, you can just press the "windows" key or alt+tab to get to your desktop, and then click on the IL2 window. works for me every time...

Yep, the game is not the in focus "window" so you need to alt+tab or use Windows key to minimize it.

HSFX 4.0 and UP1.8 does not show this problem anymore apparently.
