what should i use to remove any skin oil from a surface of a Flakpanzer IV Wirbelwind model i have built, so fingerprints won't appear once i have applied the powders? i used Tamiya water-baced pants, and decals, and i need somthing that ont damage the surface.

Most modellers (from my experience of aircraft modelling) use simple household detergent (usually washing up liquid) in a solution of water. Just make a mixutre where 95% is water, 5% detergent and gently wipe the model with the solution, using a soft rag. You might (if you haven't already done so) spray a protective clear varnish over the model to seal in the paint finish & decals. A matt or semi matt varnish should then give you a good surface for your weathering chalks.

Also in the future go to any home store and buy a box of rubber surgical gloves, the powderless kind and use those during assembly and painting. This way you never have to worry about getting your fingerprints on the model. For tiny small pieces get a good pack of tweezers that come in different sizes and shapes. I promise that it will make you a better modeler once you get use to using them.
