Hi everyone!

I'd like to ask if is it possible to choose a kind of tracer, and apply it to every plane you fly.

I know it's not really historical-safe, but I cope very well with some kind of tracers that I'd like to use constantly.
It's not a real mod: I'd only like to set an existing tracer type to every weapon, independently from the caliber or type (obviously not affecting the actual kind of weapon or damages inflicted by each aircraft's weapons).

Can anybody help me please?

I'm not sure if you've seen these:

Theres a feature I've found later, you can make the short range tracers 50% transparent by opening the file C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\MODS\EFFECTS_tracers\3do\Effects\Tracers\Textures\circle.mat and change "ColorScale 1.0 1.0 1.0 1.0" to "ColorScale 1.0 1.0 1.0 0.5". I'm using this setting currently and I like it a lot.

the il-2 engine got a different way to handle tracers so there are the files used to show the short range tracers (which are included in those zips) but the long range tracer colors are hidden somewhere in a file I was unable to find (together w the yellow gunfire reflection).

Yes, I've seen the mod you quoted.
But I'm looking for a more visible smoke-trail tracer, like the one of the latest LA-7 (sorry: I can't open the game now and I don't remeber the right name. It's something like La-7 3x etc...).

Di you think there's a way to set one tracer type as a default for all weapons?
