Sound issue
#1

If you go into the Il2 root directory and click on "files" go to and click on "samples" Within the samples folder are a bunch of WAV files containing sound effects for the game. What I've been trying to do is turn up the volume for some of the effects. What I've done is right click on a wav file and then click on "RECORD" at which point a sound recorder showed up . I clicked on "effects" and I was able to increase that particular effect by 25%. The problem I have right now is when I click on"record" the sound recorder doesn't show up. I'm not sure what happened to it. Increasing or decreasing the sound this way helps. If anyone can help me get my recording device back,it would be much appreciated
thanks

Better to use something like http://audacity.sourceforge.net/about/.

Use the "Normalize" function to set increased volume uniformly for all your sound files.

Always back them up first ! Then you can experiment with different features.

Hi relic

there is a anotther way you can use: by increasing the SPL value in the Preset files (files\presets\sounds\*.prs)

You can open them with notpad or something like that.
Search for [SPL] and change the value below.

Hope this helps
