Question About Campaigns\Timeline...
#1

I have just recently started playing IL2 again for the 1st time in a few years.Im running IL2 1946 with HSFX 4.1.As of now Im only playing the stock USAAF campaign.I started the campaign at the lowest rank and at the start of Pearl.I have been playing through and had gotten to Oct.1942 flying the p-40.During that mission I was hit and on fire so I bailed.I had gotten wounded so I thought I would apply anyway. Now when it returned me to my squad its now 1945 and in a P-51.

I cant remember if it is normal to skip that many years in a campaign,or is that because I was wounded,I beleive that was the 1st time I have ever been wounded.I just thought it was odd to skip from '42-'45.

Hello,

Some wounds just take longer than others to heal. But seriously, I believe that in the stock-game campaign mode, if the player gets "wounded," he, or she will skip the rest of the current campaign segment and move straight to the next. Sometimes, there can be a great time gap between campaign segments, causing these long leaps in time.

Aww,ok.

I thought that would be the issue, but its been a really long time since I played, and to be honest I never got into IL2 much before....dunno wy but just didnt.
I used to play alot of flight sims way back when I was younger, like Battle Of Britain:Their Finest Hour or Flight Of The Intruder, and the Original Falcon..really old games. And Of course I played the Combat flight Sim Series, and CFS3 being the last I really got into playing as far as flight Sims go.But When Rise Of Flight came out I got into wanting to fly again, but sadly RoF was disappointment for me...seemed really boring(and before release out of anticipation I bought a x52 flight stick and TrackIR...didnt want to goto waste). Then I remember IL2,so I bought IL2 1946 and DL'd HSFX and Im loving it.
