Widescreen resolution
#1

Hello. Can anyone tell me the way to get the Il2 work with widescreen resolutions. My monitor resolution is 1920*1200, but the game doesn't offer such option. So I either have to play 1600*1200 which makes picture stretched wide, or 1920*1440 which makes me scroll the picture up-and-down.
Thanx.

Generally, just do a search first as many topics have been discussed at length. To answer your question, edit your config.ini values to match the following (don't use the IL2 setup program or it will overwrite these values).
[il2]
title=Il2-Sturmovik Forgotten Battles
hotkeys=HotKey game

[window]
width=1920
height=1440
ColourBits=32
DepthBits=24
StencilBits=8
ChangeScreenRes=1
FullScreen=1
DrawIfNotFocused=0
EnableResize=0
EnableClose=1
SaveAspect=0

The link I gave you will get rid of the black bars.
