Here's a novel idea, AC-47/AC-130 gunchip (request)

Something I fantasized about having in IL-2, throw in a couple of MK213s and a 75mm for the gunner to fire out of the port side as the aircraft orbits the target. And you get a machine for raining death on ground targets.

I've used PBNs as ghetto AC-130s but TBH there's not much you can do with those machine guns.

Both aircraft would be a blast to play around with but honestly, the AC-130 is suitable for Lockon and not for IL-2. The AC-47 gunship is the "grandaddy" of the AC-130 and primarily flew during the Vietnam years in South East Asia. Nice idea though.....but both aircraft are out of focus for the theme that we are flying within.

Well, maybe not the AC-130, but what about the YC-130?

From Wiki:
The first flight of the YC-130 prototype was made on *23 August 1954* from the Lockheed plant in Burbank, California

I don't see the problem with that. Not the AC-130, then we will start getting requests about F-22s,
M1A1 Abrams, and a Iraq map!
