Somebody seriously needs to make an operational radar on il-2.
I have the F6F-5N mod but the ''radar pod''is just an addition to make it look like the real thing.I enjoy it but when I get some down time in my mission I realize how unrealistic it is.
This manual basically sums it up.The different cofigs.,screen types,everything,and how to use it.

Radar is coming in one of the Daidalos Team patches, might be in 4.10 don't know but there is a vid showing a working radar set in the back of a Bf-110

Be happy that people made that plane or this Sim at all. There are alot of things this game needs and only two things are required, People and Patience.
