A & A Paintworks Pacific Pack 1: Ki 61s
#1

Hi gang,

Over the last few months, the team at A & A Paintworks has been working vigorously to update many of the aircraft that served in the PTO. We recently released a pack of P40s called "Darwin Defenders", and we are now proud to announce that the first pack of Japanese skins are ready for release.

Get the skins here

This first pack contains skins for 8 Ki-61 fighters of the 68th Air Combat Regiment stationed on airfields in New Guinea.

What we've attempted to do is recreate these one of a kind camo schemes painted by Japanese ground crews with air brushes and compressors, as well as meticulously created, hand-applied paint schemes with paint brushes or palm leaves swashed over the aircraft.

A big thank you to our buddy Anton (aka Mangas) for his excellent re-worked mechanical set and assistance in revising the template. Original template by Jesters-Ink. Revisions by Mangas & Casey1976. Skins by RDDR.

Enjoy! We'll have more to share soon....

Yes, my old campaign "Hiens over New Guinea" now sports three of these excellent skins. You can find it here: http://www.mission4today.com/index.php? ... ls&id=3382

Cheers Poltava!

Glad to see you like the skins mate Big Grin If you decide to do a new camapign in the future, let us know...we'll hook you up with some new skins to use. It's one of the major reasons why we started our little paintshop, to make skins for campaign builders to use. Usually it means a lot of work, but it's the fun kind that you really don't mind doing at all  We did most of the skins for FlatSpinMan's "Luftwaffe Pilot: DotR" campaign, all we need to know is what/where to start doing research for you.

Thanks again for downloading the pack guys!

Casey! That is a mighty generous offer, and I will take you up on it.

I actually have a campaign in view, that should be right up your alley: it features mainly P-40's, A6M's and Ki-43's. And some other Pacific Theatre of War aircraft.

You have a PM!
