The Junkers Ju 52/3m (nicknamed Tante Ju - "Auntie Ju" - and "Iron Annie") was a German transport aircraft manufactured from 1932 to 1945. It saw both civilian and military service during the 1930s and 1940s. In a civilian role, it flew with over 12 air carriers including Lufthansa as an airliner and freight hauler.
In a military role, it flew with the Luftwaffe as a troop and cargo transport and briefly as a medium bomber. The Ju 52 continued in postwar service with military and civilian air fleets well into today.

In this historical skinpack, the first skin features the famous 1933 Lufthansa “Rote Tante“ (Red Auntie) aircraft registration Nº D-2527 (W.Nr.4022) named in honour of “Manfred von Richthofen” (the famous WW1 ace).
After 1934 all Lufthansa aircraft changed codes from numbers to letters and this aircraft became D-AGUK.
It was first used and flown by Reichsmarschall Hermann Goering (Head of the German Luftwaffe) as his personal aircraft as well as Adolf Hitler in the first years of the Nazi party travels. Goering liked the aircraft so much that he had 3 other personal aircraft painted all red in honour of his idol Richthofen. This Junkers 52 flew from 1933 until 1942.
In this skinpack there are two skins. One with a Swastika, one without.
-
The second skin features the very famous “Berlin Templehoff” Junkers 52 aircraft.
Registration Nº D-CDLH with its original 1936 Lufthansa D-AQUI markings. This airplane first flew as a seaplane with floats (which this skin also fits into the IL-2 game Junkers-52 seaplane aircraft), and was later changed to a land based airplane sometime around the 1960´s.
In the summer of 1984 it was bought by Lufthansa. In 1985 it went through extensive restoration work at Lufthansa's base in Hamburg. Various modern systems fitted, and licensed as a passenger aircraft in the highest class, passenger transportation 1.
It now flies approx. 10,000 passengers a year in Germany and in neighboring countries.
