"The MiG-17 was capable of carrying two Atoll missiles on external pylons. These were exact replicas of USAF Sidewinders and had about the same launch parameters and limitations"

did you read the hole thing?
why are people forgetting about air to air misslies from the 50's?
case in point F-4 Phantom.

Who said people forgot about air to air missiles from the 50's? Just cause no one has announced they're working on missiles doesn't mean that there isn't anyone doing it... for all you know I can be working on an F-15 right now and implementing all aspect sidewinders etc on it... modders don't have to tell the whole world what they are doing...

Thats what the WIP Section is for.

If by stating that you are meaning the WIP section is for posting everything modders do then this applies: (If not then ignore)

You only post everything you're doing in WIP section if you're seeking for attention... The WIP section is for modders to show what they are doing to the community to firstly let others know what's happening but more importantly to provoke the opinion of others on various things within your mod. It can therefore be useful to post in the WIP section as it allows others to see your work and help you and also give comments with which you can build on your mod to make it better for the customer (you may not be paying for anything but the community that use the mod are like your customers and it is your responsibility to make sure everything works well for them and doesn't cause them any problems.

Gents:

I know you want to see, hear, know, all whats going on in a mod teams life. But they are allowed to post what they want, how much they want, when they want. Here, or any where else for that matter. Their choice.

So please do not get grumpy when they choose not to disclose information.

On the other side of things and back on topic:

As far as I know SAS are doing their mod for the MiG-17's missiles. I'm not 100% sure DM and Storebore are doing any thing aswell. Either way I wish the best for the mod teams respectfully with their mods.
