AFAIK the Phantom is cancelled.

And I made a 3-view drawing of the Death star to make the modeling easier:

I would like to see Saab 35 Draken, build by Saab from 1955-1974, it may be too modern to IL-2

The biggest problem with starting to try and add in these early Gen3 fighters is their speed and avionics systems.
Il-2 isn't made to support supersonic aircraft and has nothing in it (that I know of) that will allow for the advanced radar, weapons and fire control systems in these planes.

With any luck, some of these issues will change with the release of 4.10 as it is supposed to be adding early radar to some of the night fighters. Perhaps the algorithm that they are putting into place can be adapted for Gen3 aircraft F/C systems.

That would leave the big hurdle of speed. As I recall, someone once said that the speed barrier was 'hard coded'. Not sure if this is still true, but if it is, then it would take T/D to change it.

Man, where were you for last years? Look on SAS dude - sound barrier has been fixed ages ago, and MiG-21 is already in advanced status of works, as well as various AAM-s. Radar is being worked on as well.
