well it could be me (probally) but how do you make them work after installation?

For the German from Planmad it give me in the option screen/Aircraft/ skin a problem i get 2 skins mixed with all the other skins for the Spit and the huricane it's OK but if i choose the skin and start an offline campaign mission it's not there?? i can't understand what i do wrong. I installed the skins here..
C:/my documents/1C softclub/Il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover/Paintschemes/skins/de right folder of the plane.

What do i do wrong? is my game corrupt couse i have some other strange stufff going on, namely...
1. after installing the last patch my version in the loadingscreen says still version 13915 instead of version 14072 (still got the old Parts Folder as a back-up on my dektop)

2. Planemad helpt me with this one already and still can't make/see screenshots. Sorry planemad (did everthing you told me) but after i push teh F12 button nothing helps. I manualy changed all button settings in Steam and game settings to F12 (was prt scr button by default with me).

3. i have no mirror in the hurricane i se on the outside view but cockpit view there is no mirror not even when you select the M button. Anyone have this too? or is it a bug?

INSTALLING SKINS

First you must go into the steam Library and Right-click Cliffs of dover. Click properties - Click updates then choose Uncheck Steam Cloud Synchronisation. Then click ok.

Paste the skins into the right folder folders
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\PaintSchemes\Skins


Then start your game, and they should be there.

For the Hurri and Spit, the Marks are interchangeable so you can use are Mrk 1 and Mrk 2 with each other.

txs for responding that fast planemad i'll go try it out now, just 1 thing.. the folder in my documents where i put my skins in now, for what is that then?? because the skins folder there is emptey i mean what use does it have?? i mean why do you have to put the skins in 2 skins in 2 different places?

go into my documents and look for the 1C softclub folder and in there is basically everything u need

INSTALATION

it should look like this

C:\Users\..\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\PaintSchemes\Skins

all you neeed to do there is just paste in your skin, its as simple as that really

Hi Planemad i did follow your instructions to the letter and it still doesn't work for me in the your Bf-109E skin i still see 2 skins mixed and if i select a Hurrican or Spitfire skin in Planes and click SAVE it doesn't remeber that. So when i start a mission in my offline campaign i still see the default skin for some reason. So i don't know what goes wrong on my part but it just no work yet. for the screenshots i had to register again buti'm still waiting for an e-mail to activate my account there (weird that i cannot use my STEAM account for that though).

Just 1 question about the mirror with cockpit view in a Hurricane.. Do you have a mirror there?? or anyone else or am i the only one who has this problem?

I did had my new skins in there only at first but that didn't work for me but as you can read in above post in both places it doesn't work either atm

Hi Rowddy, The "user made" skins will not show up in the campaign I don't think. Try choosing the skin in the FMB and then see if it works.

This should be fixed in the new patch on Monday.

Try swapping your skin with the stock one and use the stock skin name on your custom skin.

Hi Fireskull, sorry it took me a while but work got in the way . But i have tried yur suggestion it makes no diffrence at all. I choose the new skin in the options menu of the plane click safe start a FMB mission and still look at the default skin
However i did finnd my screenshots they were in a toatl differnt location namely here.. C:/ users/my documents/1csoftclub/il-2 cliffs of dover/screenshots

so that problem is solved. It's just weird they not end up in that STEAM bucket (although i'm glad actually, i still hate steam with a passion)

so mirror on hurricane is still not solved oh and i did notice something else dunno if others saw that too parked planes do not have markings just the planes that fly have markings.

i put them in that folder yes but.. i have this Folder on 2 sepperated places 1 in c:/games/steam/steamapps/common/il-2 cliffs of dover/paintschemes/the right airplane folder. and one in
[b]C:/my documents/1C softclub/Il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover/Paintschemes/skins/de right folder of the plane.[/b] so in which should they go?? They are now in my documents folder
