This is a reply to Stoupa & Uzin's problem.
You both have your Landscape Detail set to excellent mode or lower & this is why the problems are visible. If you were to set the Landscape Detail to Perfect, the problems would not show up.
I fixed the problems by using the old map_c converter to transform Mymap_c instead of the new converter made by Redwulf_32. The old map_c tools don't seem to be available for download on this site so I have to give you a link to download my map_c tools.
http://www.filefront.com/16993859/map_c-tools.rar/
Put Mymap_c into the folder with with the .bat files. Double click 1 transform.bat. Then double click 2 disect.bat. This will create three files. The file called MWmap_c.tga can be deleted. The other two files need to be renamed to map_c.tga & map_c.tga_table
If nothing happens when you open the .bat files it's probably because you haven't got Java installed on your computer. You can download Java from here - http://www.java.com/en/
You should then see a big improvement in the water.

Well, Perfect mode removes the flaws, but
I have java freshly installed in C/Program Files/Java folder,
placed on C disk the folder map_c tools, double clicked transform.bat and disect.bat, and nothing occured. Any help, please ? Should be there any special structure of the folders ?

I don't know what the problem is. To save time I have made a new map_c for you.
Download it here - http://www.filefront.com/16993851/map_c.rar/

In addition, I shall try to locate the reason.

According to former advice of some guy on Aviaskins, I wrote "Pause" as 2nd line in 1transform.bat, and after running it, the following report appeared:
"java.lang.Exception: This TGA file type not supported" .
Any help, please ?
NOTE : this my Mymap_c file cannot be opened in Photoshop, only in Gimp and IrfanView. Perhaps here lies the reason ? Perhaps tga converter or something similar needed ?
EDIT: Problem solved, heureka !
After making Mymap_c file FLAT in Gimp (Image Flatten), it can be opened in Photoshop, and, moreover, now 1transform.bat and 2disect.bat both work well, producing the files wanted.

Hi Kevin,
I was wondering if there is a way to "fix" the reflections on elevated lakes/reservoirs and rivers. Here is an example from the map I'm working on. I made the reservoir in MyMap_c, and then adjusted map_h to the elevation value of 79. Thanks yet again for your superb tutorials.

I think it's impossible to get elevated lakes or rivers to look like water at sea level, with correct reflections. It's just a limitation of the game that you have to put up with.
Cheers

Look in your load.ini where the city textures are. Make sure at the end of each line it ends with .tga & not .tga,2
City0 = land/summer/DownCity.tga
City1 = land/summer/MidCity.tga
City2 = land/summer/CenterCity.tga
City3 = land/summer/factory.tga
City0 = land/summer/DownCity.tga
City1 = land/summer/MidCity.tga
City2 = land/summer/CenterCity.tga
City3 = land/summer/factory.tga

kevinp,
Could you provide some info on where my map_c tools converts "wrong" so I can put out a new, fixed version?
Map_c Toolbox has the advantage of not having to rely on Java to work, it's a fully complied application with no code in common with the "old" map_c converter.
TIA

Uzin I have tried every thing I could think of to reproduce your problem on my computer & I can't find out what's wrong. You are going to have to send me a copy of your entire map again.

At Aviaskins, guys adviced to check the supposed cross-influence of textures which have size changed by number 2. Partially, this was true, but not entirely. I am sending the present state map now. Thank you very much for your time. The file was named "Send.zip" .
