I am trying to reinstall IL2 1946 on my son,s PC, It is currently working on my PC patched up to 4.10.1M with Ultra pack 3 and Dark blue world and DBW 1916. It was working on his PC before. Then It crashed for unknown reason, the game would not play in the modded state. I uninstalled it with the uninstaller, have started from the beginning with the original Digital download 4.07, then the 4.08m Special Patch or UBI fix, then 4.09, up to 4.10.1M . Do I need the 4.08? Also the game does load in stock un modded mode on his PC. I have only installed ultra Pac 3 so far. When I use the IL 2 selector and choose e Ultra Pack 3 the selector just flashes for a moment when I hit Start IL2. It does not load the game in modded mode or in Standard Mode. I can only get it to load in standard mode by using the original shortcut. Any Ideas or help on what I am missing. Thanks

Unzip with folder names on, go inside the ( ALBD2R ) folder and drag the ( Albatros_D2 ) folder into your CK game vehicles folder, then add the line in the axis.txt Albatros_D2 and save it.

Odd issue since I downloaded some new nose art to play with. I select nose art in aircraft configuration, and it does not show on the preview aircraft. Nor does it appear in the simulator. I would like to resolve it because I plan to superimpose my girlfriend onto the naughty "China Girl" nose art. My first attempt at mods in about six years. But, it seems like a worthy project.

I hope to be purchasing this once I can figure out how to get my yuan turned into dollars somehow. Is there another way to pay? Bank Transfer, Western Union, or even an envelope with a $20 bill in cash is easier than doing anything else from here. No lie.

I have waited for a long time to fly a WW1 sim again. I was almost hoping that while I was away, the IL2 engine would have been utilized with the flight models and graphics from the WW1 birds and would have been nothing more than a "mod". But, a big ~S to the efforts of all involved in creating a modern-day WW1 sim. I cannot wait to try it out.

The only frustration I have in returning now is that between all the different versions of IL2, COD, and Canvas Knights, it has seemed to split the community up quite a bit. I do miss the time when everyone was on the same game, version, and played in one place. These days are not likely to return.
