More entrys for eventlogs possible? What could be added?
#1

Saw this in a forum of one onlinewar discussion page.
Quote:"Oleg has refused several requests over the years to place in the log file all unit location coordinates at the end of the mission."

This would probably help a lot of people in onlinewars to get more accurate feedback from missions.
Does anybody know if it could be done with a mod?

What else could be important to be logged, any ideas?
What about pilots parachuting coordinates logged in eventlog?

Should make it possible to have an airbase being captured after it has been reduced to nn%. Is it possible to take a DC3/Ju52/etc. and drop airborne infantry? It should make it possible for strategic planning.

Some kind of gunnery accuracy stats would be great!

Airbase capture with paratroopers would be great but don't know how it would drop fps-rates in dogfight missions with a lot of planes in server?

In co-op it slows a lot but could it be that a dogfight mission could be less stressful?
Anybody tested what happens in dogfight with 18 paras out of C-47 or ju-52?

You may be able to drop para's on an airfield, but that doesn't mean to say they have captured it.. There would have to be a system worked out to determine what weapons they employ etc, also, out of necessity paratroopers jump with pretty light scales.. I think if any testing is carried out it will need to be with alot more troops.. 18 guys landing on a defended airfield will not make much of an impression.

In this case I would say performing a symbolic drop (8 chutes?) on a sufficiently reduced airfield could be considered a capture/neutral/contested airfield, depending on damage and random factor (dice throw like in hex games. Think V4Victory). I think it would be enough of a feat to manage to succesfully get a transport over an airfield. It shouldn't be neccessary to bring systems to their knees with xx parachutes floating down. Smile
