Perhaps there could be two versions. One high res, the other veeery high res. Tongue

Shifting stuff around to get closer approximation, but I wish I could move the mesh files. (hint, hint, fatduck!)

Taurus that looks unbelievable Confusedhock: , what size tga's are you using for these screenshots??

BTW in the gunsight beta release, the panel lights are realigned, and the mask is adjusted so that the reticle does not get clipped at the edge. If you have made any changes to the D10 cockpit folder that you don't want to lose, you could just drop in the latest hier.him file and leave the rest.

Poncho,

Thanks for the info about the hier.him. I will download and try it out.

The original plan was to do a full render of the whole panel with bezels etc as per the pic. and just use the dial face and needles of the instruments so that you could still use night and some damage. It still would all compile back into a 1024x1024 panel tga. Cry Looks like I will have to work with the current dial locations for the moment.

Anyways, made some progress with the floor. Looks ugly at the moment.

Cheers.

Taurus,
I was able to successfully edit the unneeded mesh out of the gunsight file that I gave you for the D10. I was also able to eliminate the need for all of those unwanted MAT files in the D10 gunsight folder. The mesh that was responsible for the ghosting was the P40E canopy glass meshing. I will give the same treatment to the other gunsight, I think that that folder could be reduced by a file or two also.

I like the progress your making. Big Grin

Damn this is a bitch to skin, the modeller had no fricken idea! I have the comfort of saying that in hindsight. She will only be as good as she was made....

taurus,

The panel is looking sweet. I've been waiting a very long time for the P-47 to get this much needed facelift. Thanks, I know it's got to be a ton of work.

And a personal favor... please don't forget the awful seat, it Looks like Sponge Bob painted it after a weekend bender.

Got some nice scans for belt buckles and stuff so yeah, that will get some attention for sure. Limited by resolution though Cry

(Any references are always welcome!)

taurus.....she is looking good . I want you to know that all us jug jocks really appreciate what you're doing for the old girl. And I hate that red seat too. She has been needing this kinda face lift a long time. New pit, guages, and sites.....keep up the hard work. I can't wait to see her when she is done.
