Virtual Pacific Front Pilots have report abroad The Fast Attack Carrier Force with newly replacement Pilots and equipment ready to take the skies away from the IJN once for all
what did you say over there
Oh, hey, it's unfair to the folks that spent all this time making these maps, and not just the Slot maps, to have that effort and hard work used as a tool to get some type of personal revenge on Oleg Maddox. If the people that make these mods want to say "In your face Oleg", then even though I disagree with that sentiment (and I'm sure most of those modders feel that way), that is up to them. Don't go around presenting what they do in an abrasive and argumentative way. Please
LOL, so they roped you into Pacific Team did they?!
Can't wait to see what that produces!
Stans is quite envious of the few that get to test these maps. The screen shots are absolutely incredible!
Yes
It would be like the idea that the community couldn't make good campaigns or skins, in a way. I don;t understand why the tools were not made available and never will...maybe the fear of lost revenue on SoW:BoB but honestly, doesn't that give the impression that BoB is all about a map? We all know that SoW is much more than just maps, but somehow 1C:Maddox games feels that the way to get interest is to reserve a map?
Poor marketing strategy in my opinion- the enticement should be cutting-edge combat flight simulation- not a map. Flight simmers don;t need to have the genre spoon-fed to them, and let's face it- only flight simmers are remotely interested in flight sims! Gamers new to the genre don't rush out and buy up sims like candy anyway
It may simply boil down to Oleg's philosophy and life experiences. He grew up under the Soviet Union and Communist party rule, where secrets were the rule of the day. He may be applying the idea of keeping everything about his sims secret to his marketing of them. Then again, it could be greed and rather than a $20 add on to make a real Pacific sim for IL2 he would rather sell us a $50 game engine and each new theater at $20 a pop. That being said, the Il2 game engine does have limitations, primarily at high altitude where winds are not modeled. Storm of War may not have such short comings, but we will have to wait to find out. And wait, and wait, and wait, and wait...
