Yeh, me too - the original boxed version - I got it when I was in the UK back in 2001/2....didn't have a clue about it, but loved the cover art and, hey, it was a combat flight sim! 8)
Haven't looked back since... Big Grin
Also can't remember ever having a version with visible pilot, though... Sad

I flew IL-2 v1.2 for a while before moving to FB, and I don't remember there being a pilot model in the interior view of any cockpits.

In LOMAC the pilot legs are simply a 2D texture, but it looks damned nice. Is it possible to add a flat, 2D shaped set of legs to a cockpit and then apply a skin that makes it look real? We have cockpit tecture modding, but I'm not sure about cockpit model modding.

Hypothetically... yes this could be possible. However.

You would be limited to what is applied to the legs for every pilot. For example, you would have those Luftwaffe brown legs in your 109, despite if you're flying under RAF colours for example...

in my opinion it doesnt look awesome, just coz these legs are not in 3d, it would be awful in case of use a trackir-6dof. aand i'd like to see empty cockpit instead. by the way nice pants that guy have, gucci or armani? Big Grin

Hi,

hang on....... that is a bloody good try Rawners , thank you mate

For being the first attempt at a pilot, it is great, I 'm sure that given more time we will see feet & arms & if you then complain that you cannot see the instruments......well, why do you think the game doesn't bring a pilot?

3 cheer's for Rawners
