I'd love to use this mod, but nothing happens.

I extract the zip file and I have a folder called: vas_new_prop3_LIGHTER_BLADE

I then copy this folder into my Mods folder.

Launch the game, watch the propellor and it's the default game prop, no nice blade effects, just the bog standard circle!

I also tried this:

Extract the folder, which gives me the folder: vas_new_prop3_LIGHTER_BLADE

Inside that are two files:

vas_new_prop3_LIGHTER BLADE
propellor.tga

I then copied these two files and placed them in the mods folder....exactly the same result.

Anyone help point me in the right direction?

I believe the folder structure wasn't completly made with this mod... it gives you only the replacing textures.

Look at this screenshot and try to recreate that folder tree for this mod and it should work.

Hi !

There is 5 files (tga files) inside vas_new_prop3_LIGHTER_BLADE folder,see the pic below.



After extraction with winzip

put( these 5 files)
to -->x:\program\Ubisoft\Il-2 Sturmovik 1946\MODS\vas_new_prop3_LIGHTER_BLADE \3do\plane\Textures
You must create this patch( folders in order) if you dont have it.
The red coloured folder name is optional you can name it whatever you want.

Great mod! Really makes the planes much prettier.

Only problem is my current pc's graphics card has trouble catching up with the spinning propeller in cockpit mode. :roll:

But great job nonetheless.
