P-47 Thunderbolt cockpit modding references and discussion

I hate to appear obtuse (anymore than I already admit to), but why is the lettering backward?

Image is backwards because it is being hosted by a mirror site. Wink

Good question I_B_Spectre, Poncho has been switching radio meshes from different aircraft to fit in the best one. This texture is mirrored back onto the model mesh in game.

[Edit. This is a tricky one. Everything is mirrored including the viewpoint, light and shadow - doh! But I did miss one mirror transition with the text so nice obtuseness I_B_Spectre. Kudos to shadowgravy too!]

I found this picture on the net; I don't think I've ever seen it before:

It would like to know what variant this panel came out of. The instrument placement is very similar to the P-47D-30 cockpit photos in my opening post but there are a few slight differences. For one thing, the top of this panel resembles a layout diagram I have for the P-47N so I'm guessing this was cut for factory-installed K-14 gunsights. Perhaps this came out of P-47D-40?

Nice post as usual Shadowgravy. Smile

Just a quick wip on the center console and some texture problems.

Cheers,

Taurus.
