Hahah thanks for the kind words m8s, did some more work yesterday, still don't know if I'm doing double work now (if anyone has something, send it over lol)

also, how the hell do you guys import 3d meshes into il2? I managed to export from il2, to 3Dsmax, and then back to a hier.him file but when trying to load the specific plane the cockpit view won't show, if anyone has the energy to teach me bout this thing please PM me

lil work here and there on the D 27, most of all i'd love to change the UV mapping on everything, this cockpit is crudely modeled, even for the time period it was made, i think someone was in a huurrryyyy:

Flushi, I'm very impressed with what you have done here.

Thanks!

One more update, now with new gauges, still low resolution letters and numbers but I'll save that for later.

New floor and throttle quadr-upper surface(overpaint of Taurus textures) and then I tried to get the bottom of the gunsight as accurate as possible, but unfortunately, alpha channels won't work on that "card" or square that cuts through the hood, so I blackened some parts to get them to "disappear" Sad

AHA!!! now there's something i would NEVER have thought of, should I only make "one line" on them? damnit and I duplicated like 50 screws already, good thign I just copied them for now, i was on my way of making each screw look different lol.

Thanks m8, BTW, do you have anything more that can be used on this pit? is it possible to have seatbelts on this seat or are the UV's totally foowked up? :?:

It's another OHNOZ!

I'm trusting Poncho can port the mesh over from the razor.

This is the slip ball I am trying to animate on the D27 Mk8 sight. At the moment it doesn't do anything. But if I can figure out this Java BS, it will look something like this. I also am experimenting with hooding and lens textures.

If I can get this to work, it would open the possibility of additional working gauges, sliding canopies and the like. I just need the time and inspiration.

Dude, have you figured out how to change the texture of the glass on the gunsigh? I wanna make it look glassy Smile

here's some examples, a bit of reflection from the lens under the glass and also the matte edge of the glass, with a few dark spots on it: http://picasaweb.google.com/ericksartor ... 4826258978

and if someone knows how to add more colour to the reticle, instead of that brown, (just as on the other reticle mods) I'd love to play with the analog look, bit blurry, and edges with another colour (in this case green): http://www.a-26legacy.org/images/gunsight.JPG

and this one is just plain awesome, imagine putting that next to the sun, it would look so phat: http://www.arga-nl.nl/gunsight1.jpg

I never did try that. However, the files that you would need to work on are glass_pricel.tga and perspex.mat. The stock tga is very small maybe like 4 pixels, so to hold some kind of detail I think you would have to increase the size.

About the reticle, at the time, I didn't want to change the file names for the reticle and mess up people trying to use reticle mods. As a consequence the D27 and the D-late share the same reticle.

Maybe is should separate these out so that they can be changed independently?

Keep up the good work.
