I am slowly working upon the Lower Burma map ....... but if you want to try it out and start playing with what there is on there now you are welcome to.....
I made a few missions about the early attacks by japan on the Rangoon and Mingladon .... loosly based on my earlier 'recall' miassion, but more accurate numbers and routes

Once you have installed the patches for this map...open the map folder and make a copy of the map_t.tga ....then rename the copy .. ed_map_t.tga

Looks cool!

May I suggest updating the top post of this thread with a full list of initial and patch download links, as well as any recommended file edits? While there's no substitute for reading the entire thread, it would be useful for those new to this map to have the most important pertinent information at the top.

I do appreciate your hard work and time!

From the last install of ffb_Thailand map I have never been able to see your Tongoon 2d textures etc and villages. I placed all info in the static in and placed the cat file in Mapmods/3do/CAT/ Village 1 etc.

What is the correct file path for the 2D objects Fred?

Hi Fabianfred just installed your latest patch and I see you have flattened the airfield at Nakorn Bat, I was only able to have aircraft take off and land in one direction at this field. I'm building a campaign for this lovely map, see thread in campaigns, and this airfield is one I'm using, great stuff. All it needs now is somewhere to land amphibians, built a base for the French at the bottom of the map for my campaign but have to put up with the aircraft doing the silly landing routine if I give them a landing waypoint, would have thought the 1C team could have sorted this problem years ago. Another problem I have had is single and groups of trees becoming white blocks and being able to see the flag poles through the hangers! Didn't notice this when I flew the map with this latest patch, thought it may have been my graphics card, was this something only I have experienced?

Wishing you all the very best, Pete.

Hi fabian, I've problem with this your great map because when I try to load it in FMB it make crash into desktop after a while trying to load. I'm quite sure to have make all stuff:

-CAN map loads (and mission are saved well)
-added Hangar mod in mod folder
-added LAL_RONE static.ini hangar list

I've no idea justother previous "failed map usually make FMB response 2Dobyect lost and/ore mouse continue to move into desktop during loading (map don't load) but never I've had crash in desktop of the whole game as I have trying to load your map, any suggestion?.thank you

ps. I've 2 gig Ram and a quite powerful pc (amd6400 dual) so I don't think it'a a memory problem..

usually a CTD is because of something wrong with the static.ini list which is not in accord with the files in the MODS folder

at my download site in the New Thai map folder is also a France Flag which needs installing if you haven't already installed the complete Flags pack

pleas where I can download entire flag pack? and where I have to install then? thank you.

'textures and skins' folder .... Flags3.zip
install folder to your MODS folder... and make entries in your static.ini

the Thai flag is also in the same folder...a seperate download from the Flags pack.... I made the Thai flag, but the Flag Pack was done by someone else

Hi Fabianfred, sorry to be a pain but I am still having a problem with the Thai flag and can't sort this out, could you please help me out on this. I went through the static ini file and made sure the section I added for your map had not been altered in any way from what I originally pasted, even repasted the one with your map download into the static ini just to make sure. There only appears to be this problem with the Thai flag.

In the image below you can see I've put another Thai flag next to the one on the map, both show through the hanger.

In this second image I put the Burma flag next to it and this doesn't show through.

I also see you have entries in your ffb objects folder for the Burmese and UK flags but I don't see these anywhere on the map, should they appear or did you not include these on the map.

Ive tried everthing including actually re-installing your map and the other objects needed to make it work but the problem persists, it is driving me up the wall, the only way to stop this flag showing through is if I remove any reference to it so that it dissapears completely. I already had the flag pack but I downloaded the one from your site and added this as instructed adding the details to the end of the static ini after first deleting the entries for the those already installed, still nothing changed.

Wishing you the very best, Pete.

This problem seemed to dissapear briefely after install of the latest patch, love the new strips by the way, but once the PC has been shut down and turned on again it goes back to the previous behaviour!

thank you fabian, but still don't work. I still have CTD after a while.

I too noticed the Thai flags showing through the hangers...... but didn't deem it all that important a fault 8)

the Burma and UK jack flags had been on some airfields or in some temples in Rangoon ..... and since i copied and pasted some of these to other locations...I wasn't sure if I had deleted them all....so though it better to have them installed by the user .....just in case

Thanks Fabianfred I thought the flag problem was probably a fault with my PC glad to know you have experienced it also.
