This could help with map makers I bet, a lot less work in designing cities, but not real sure on that,lol
Here is 2 shots I took flying over London on Canon's beta map, and as you an see, the 3D impression from these new diles, really stands out. They would have to be realigned a bit (and as you can see, it looks like the lowland textures are bleeding through in some parts) but its just amazing how better it looks! Still think it would help the map makers, :lol:
although some airfields in france seem to vanish under the new textures a small sacrafice :evil:
very true but flying at over 300mph i dont have a care in the world it would seem i get shot down more often maybe because im looking at the ground all the time :lol:

NOTE, I modified Compans' bob fields textures a bit: a tad less saturation, lower brightness, but it's jsut for my taste, I think they'll fit nicely without any modification.
Thank you Compans. These textures are a big improvement. The landscape appears to be much more realistic.

Please remember that these textures were designed to be painted in so there are definite discrepencies when just writing in the ini. file. The cities work best when painting them in. The city files should work fine with no blurring in between tiles.
