Everytime i change my settings to what you guys post i get lines in all the darkparts of the game, like if i fly low on water my shadow has lines through it and the smokes the same. Its looks like crap when theres alot of smoke and stuff.

Don’t know exactly. Picked that up somewhere. Siccmade, why are you not on perfect settings?

yeah, switch to openGL ( IL2setup) and change graphic settings to perfect ( in game)

also change Dither to 0

TexFlags.UseDither=0

if i remember it correctly that should fix your shadows .... ( not sure though )

no anisotropic filtering and antialiasing no more than 2x .... also if vertical sync is enabled , enable triple buffering too ( NV control panel )

NV 7600GT 256 worked fine for me up to 1024x768 res. .... when i changed monitor and raised res to match native resolution : 1280x1024 it was time for new card .

I d/l il2 off steam and for some reason i dont have the file "il2setup.exe" where some of u have said u make gfx changes..is ive had to do them all via the conf.ini file manually. Any one know how else i can find that file?

NOTE:Nvidia cards can do water 3 and 4 but there will a lot of stuttering. The reason is, its not your card, its not your pc, its the graphics drivers! I have tested every driver but the issue still persists.

Siccmade: try to change your effects to 1 and water to 2

try that
