Corsair Whistling Death

There is a structural difference between 408m and version 409m.
Version 409m: Files/Samples
Version 408m: Mods/Files/Samples

Ok, first, you have to have a "Samples Folder". This is where you put the WAV files, except for the "Thumpy Wheel Bounce Sounds". I made a ZIP File, which, all you have to do is, unzip them into the MODS Folder. http://theghostfiles.org/FBMods.html

Second, you put the PRS files here.
Version 409m: Files/Presets/Sounds
Version 408m: Mods/Files/Presets/Sounds

You may have to adjust the game volume, and the quality may depend on your Sound Card. They sound great on my system (Sound Blaster Live).

i did everything right and it seemingly all went in without a hitch. what you suggested above is exactly how i tried to do it originally. though my corsair still sounds like a lawn mower...which kind of sucks for me- its my fav plane.

whatever i'm doing, its simply not recognising it as a legitamate sound. but thanks for your help anyway.

Check for mods loading duplicate files before this one. If the Corsair is your favorite (one of mine too) you may have another mod out there with PrattWhitney sound files loading before this one.

If you tried everything and your Corsair still sounds like a lawnmower, take a claw hammer and beat the muffler off your lawn mower and it'll sound just like a Corsair.
