Some nights we have less able escorts than others...
.... ok , here it goes
for new sounds , please compile mod out of them .... upload it to some filehost server and start thread in beta download section ( basic info + d/l link + install instructions ) . When passed beta stage ( feedback...) submit your mod to MrJolly ( PM = d/l link + info) and you will receive AAA d/l link + posting instruction when mod pass checking .
as for non IL2 projects goes , please use spray and pray section .... if non commercial
looking forward to try your sounds ....

I love the P-47 because she is a brain plane. Most Spit and 109 pilots more use their joystick instead of their brain. To the german pilots in the trainings I always say you need a little bit more than a german identity card and a Bf109 G-2 to be a fighter ace.
Like the Fw-190 the P47 can be used as a fighter bomber or as an energy fighter. Over 6000m the P47 gets more and more advantages. Yesterday I went on the Spit vs 109 mod server with my 190 A-3. There were many B-17 over the channel and they wanted to attack Dieppe. So I made much altitude and I reached 6500m. In the middle of the channel there were so many white stripes. A p-38 swarm and some P-47. I wanted to creep to the B-17 but the p-38s saw me. I had to go down and with a little bit frustration I climbed again into high alitude. The B-17 were gone, the P-38 were gone too. Over beachy head I saw a single white stripe. It was a p-47. I was in 7000m and he was in round about 8000m. He came to me with an energy+. I made a gentle right turn flying away from him and when he came into the turn I rolled into a quick hard turn loosing a bit energy. Caused by the high G my view blurred a little bit. The P-47 did not follow me. To I rolled back to the left and I was behind him. But this Pilot was no beginner. You can see this very quick in the movements of a plane. He went into the sun. I could not follow him but I tried to get as much altitude as I could. We nearly stalled at the same time and he was a little bit higher. I made a hammerhead and he came back to me but he could not make an attack because he was unable to pull the rudders sharp enough. Now I was behind him again but i still had not enough energy. This DF went some minutes. Most of it was flown between 7000m and 6000m. I went out of this DF with a long dive into he clouds when I saw 2 p38 over us.
As FW pilots we always respect those guys in their p47 because they are deadly with an energy+. While some Spit Ix pilots were whining in the chat. The p-47 guys went into high altitude and they closed the channel for german figher planes. The B-17 could go to their targets and made their job. When you see a P-47 in high altitude you absolutly know that his is her district.
yes you have to be patient with p-47 to reach alt, where the plane becomes most effective and highly dangerous
The P-47 is my favorite plane. I've found a lot of success with it, even at lower altitudes, it just takes a bit of practice and patience. Its certainly not a plane you can just take off right into the fight.
If you are going into spins then you are using too much stick in the turns, but one thing that can help stabilize your turns is the use of combat flaps. Just keep in mind that they bleed a bit of energy so use the combat flaps like you might training wheels, until you get a feel for the stick forces. I like to keep that plane above 500kph or 300mph indicated, and utilize the zoom climb for various reversal maneuvers when countering enemy attackers.
Hopefully, you will reach the day when everything clicks, and see exactly how powerful that plane is.
