Wow! Great! That's all of the Normandy coast and north almost up to Antwerp with a lot of the Belgian interior.

Yes, this map is loads bigger than the beta. I posted this pic when I first announced work was beginning on the final version. It's a larger area and a bigger scale than the beta - it always has been.

Yes, I knew about the scale factor but not about the fact that it covered a larger area. Cheers m8-really looking forward to this :wink:

Ignore the overlays and colours etc. The map is the entire image. So, you fly over the Channel until you reach Normandy.

Conan - where's that then? Dinan? A village/town south of Dinan? Let me know and I can make sure I include it.

Ok, I'll post a little update of what's done and what needs to be done.

Done:
All texture, height, map_c work
British road networks
British rail networks
New British city/town objects
All British towns etc populated.
All RAF hangars/building objects
Some of the RAF airfields.

Still to do:
French road/rail
A few more French house objects
Populating France
Remaining RAF airfields
Luftwaffe airfields (all except 3)
Inflight map

So, it's not too bad actually. BigBossMalone is working on the road/rail network for me (as he did for the UK stuff). Once I've finished the other RAF airfields I just need to make a few more French buildings and then I can auto-pop France. Then it's just the airfields to do. I'm managing between 1 and 2 airfields a day (on a good day) so not bad.

It's nice to know things are moving along and how. I can imagine you are verrry busy with family things and Lord knows what else, so it makes the update that much more appreciated 8)

I live in a little town that was nice in 1940s (saw some picts) named Caulnes, approximatly 20-25km South of Dinan
