Quote:for the propeller texture change, delete texture folders from g4t and g6t

Quote:Ahh I've got you now. It is due to the texture folder which I've accidently included. It will be removed in the next version

Thanks, now I'm happy again Big Grin

It's also a texture folder in the G2 Trop folder.

What was the power or weight for Bf109Fs and Gs with the trop versions? Is the "trop" filter the only really changes with the DB ???

The Merlin Trop versions had heavy filters, did the DBs need a lot of changes with trop modifications???

(Sorry, I have a difficult time with writing. :? )

No problem Faustnik. The power to weight ratio for the Bf109Fs-Gs compared to their trop versions were identical, since the trop filter and desert survival kit added a trivial amount of weight to the plane. Unlike the British trop modifications which changed the drag profile of the aircraft and hence it's performance, the trop versions of the 109 performed exactly the same as the non-trop variants.

Where there was a performance difference, was that many of the early production Gs had engine teathing problems at high manifold pressures (~1.42ATA), so they were required to run them at 1.3ATA (well below the maximum performance of the aircraft). This was rectified in later production runs of the G-2 (though the restrictions were still in place in 1943)

So really all that is different between the ingame G-2 and the new trop is the filter and the skin. The G-4 and G-4 trop are brand new, the G-6 trop features the older style antennae and the filter (which aren't present on the standard ingame G-6)

I've read that Tropical versions of Bf 109 have a 5% decrease of speed with sand filters.
(according to german tests)
For comparing, Hurricane Trop versions have 8% speed decrease.
I don't know for Spits, but for sure they have also a speed decrease.

It's non blue or red whining, I just wanted if possible to have Tropical versions of both sides aircrafts, with performances decreases.

Hi everybody:

I think you have a tall-tail mod installed on you G6 early, which is causing this bug. My G6 early mod (included in the pack) only works for the short tails

Sorry, just a question.

Is anyone else getting some artifacts (ghost glass and frames) in the cockpit of the G-4 when using it with AHS?

This might be a result of another mod I am working on, although the things were still there when I disabled it, but gone when I disable AHS. I got the same stuff with the cockpit of the G-14. I just want to know out of curiosity if I am the only one.

I cant post a screenshot cause I already re-wrote the G-4's classfile to fix the problem, and I'm too lazy to restore the backup lol.

BTW, I am enjoying these G-4s immensly. Thanx again guys.

I was getting the same artifacts, but since I've wanted the G4 for so long, I finally disabled the AHS mod so I can use it. Consequently, I've installed all of the early E's that I wouldn't before do to AHS incompatibility. I guess that's a plus. The weird thing is I still get the same glass ghosting on the E-3 without AHS. I think those files are actually in the E-3 folder, even though they don't work right.

Anyway, I'd really like to see all of these 109's work with the AHS mod, as it's rather pretty when it works.

AHS integration is currently included in this mod. Unfortunately it can cause bugs on some systems. HunInTheSun has been working on a new version but there is no set date to when it will be released.

For now, AHS will stay but the bug has been noted and when a fix is available, it will be fixed Smile . Fingers crossed though there will be a small update in the next week for these aircraft.

Have any skins been released for these gorgeous planes yet? Or will the old non-Trop skins do the job?

UPDATE! See front page for details. The other fixes will be in the next release and fingers crossed will include the G-10 early and G-14 early. The team is just sorting out the Spitfire/Hurricane pack first before we will refine the Gustavs.

@Aragorn: Any skin that fits the G-2 and G-6 early will fit these aircraft.

...sounds good! :o Are there plans to include the WIP reduced bulges MOD? Would make sense if it comes to skinning your additions.
