Sea Fury
#16

I don't think I am alone when I say that I'd be very happy to have the Sea Fury as-is, in it's beta state-- if for no other reason it'd be great to build missions around.

At this point, a FM and pit would be just icing on the cake and better than not having it at all in having it as it exists now.

Thanks to all past and present who did work on the Sea Fury

There is a working model of the Sea Fury Mk1. You would have to install HFSX mod to get it.

To find out more look here

http://www.242sqn.com/

you will have to register before you can get access to the mod forums, but if you do look under "il2 mod software releases" its in HSFX patch 3.2 release.

I cannot praise the mod pack at this site highly enough, it does contain more or less everything and done to a very high standard, i have been using it for maybe a year now.
from the readme for the Sea Fury

Patch 3.2 Release notes ;

Brand New Aircraft types
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hawker SeaFury MkI - Flatiken (3d model, Java) Chap (FM, LOD correction) Napier-Sabre powered version with Arrestor hook.

The evolutionary successor to the successful Hawker Typhoon and Tempest fighters. Powerplant was the Napier Sabre VII, 24-cylinder supercharged liquid-cooled H-type four-stroke aircraft piston engine, which was capable of developing 3,040 hp at full emergency power. As a result it became the fastest piston engined Hawker aircraft, reaching a speed of around 485 mph (780 km/h). Armament was four 20 mm (.79 in) Hispano Mk V. cannon.

As you can see it has new FM, and i think new loadouts (computers knackered at the moment so can not confirm).

They are very friendly there and always willing to help.

p.s I hope i am not breaking any rules here, but as i understand things have relaxed a bit lately, if i am please except my apologies and delete my post. Big Grin

Someone pm'd me about where to get the Seafury from and if you can get it as a seperate download (unfortunately i can not send pm's for some reason).

So in answer to that the seafury is part of the HSFX mod avaiable at 242 squadron

www.242sqn.com/

as i said above its not a seperate download, you have to install the whole package (different file structure to AAA). Also you will have to register at the site to get access to the mod section, well worth it though.

sorry i can not be more help.

Thanks for that reply Slipper.

I had just went though an update to UI 1.1. I had seen other sites that would offer the Sea Fury. but they have a whole different folder structure. I don't see it as worth my while to go through something like that- getting into a new way of doing things. So I guess I'll wait it out in hopes that someday, it is released here.
