[WIP] Natter Rocket Interceptor
#1

Well, once again, I resume work on the natter, which i had started so long ago. This is the early development of this model. There are no pictures of the actual launch(I suspect they were burned at the end of the war) So the launch system is of my own design. The vertical launch system may have to be inhistorically swapped with a wheeled take off verson, as im not sure if the sim will allow for rail guided take offs. But, we could do like the Komet, with gear that falls off...at the right time of course. Some Images of el Natter:

Just a random thought... how about checking the in-game mechanics for the V1 ?

Nah, I think its possible to make it takeoff like the Lerche with (more or less) the Komet FM, isn't it?

problem is, no plane currently uses a rail guidance system...so im not sure if it will sense the contact, and cause the aircraft to explode....

Well if the rail system proves impossible to implement, then it would have to takeoff like the Lerche (off the ground).

No, if that proves impossible, then Ima have it take off like the Komet... Lerch system would require wheels where they should possibly be.

You should be able to get this done with the chock hook. You can define its position and orientation and pretty much have it hanging there. When you have applied full power you release the chocks and of you go.

Ok I'll leave it to the experts then, I'm no modder.

The ruddy thing used solid fuel rocket boosters right? So, why not just have something in the java that prevents player controls from activating until after the boosters have dropped? Wasn't the pilot expected to black out on takeoff anyway?
