Very Nice B...Looking forward to flying her...
Very nice! A real cornerstone of Spitfire's life. Waiting for that!
(Which would be the historically correct counterpart of this suptpye among the Fw190 and Bf109 subtypes?)

Anto Wrote:Just to let you know, there already is a Spitfire F Mk. IX in HSFX/UP
Hi Anto,
I've only recently got around to installing HSFX/UP and wasn't aware this Spitfire was already included. I've been out of the loop for a while. It appears to me that the HSFX and UP teams are combining their efforts to a degree? This project was originally Waggel's idea and I think Hunin was going to do the FM at the time. However, that was a good while back now and I've got no clue who's doing what here or at any other site. I'm curious now though, I'll have to take this HSFX/UP version up for spin.

Thanks for the comments, guys. Will try to get this wrapped up this week as I've only a few bits to tidy up and then she's done. Of course, there's still the not so minor job of finding a slot and an FM for her...

Will we need a new buttons file? Or will you use existing FM's?
Well as Anto mentioned the F Mk. IX is already included in the HSFX/UP mod packs so there is the possibility to replace the stock model with this one. However, that comes down to whether anyone with the necessary expertise has time or inclination to do that. My contribution ends with the 3D work I'm afraid.
Looks sweet as a nut except one thing, the ailerons are from the mk VIII, the mk IX had larger ones.

Yep, I can't believe I missed the ailerons. If you look closely at the screenshots you'll see that SparrowThree even marked out the long span ailerons on his skin. I just forgot to swap them over from the Mk. Vc...
