No it is doable..

Just to do it you need to be pretty savvy on how to install mods manually..

And in light of you having trouble with the newbie guide..

I think it would be best for you to just stick with the self installing mod packs like HSFX..

Where all you need to know is where you IL2 game is installed..

The instlation software does the rest

oKAY i placed the b29.cockpit in the MODS folder, but it doesn't work. I have the steam version, the il2 with all the expansion packs...

If you don't have 1946 with 4.09m, then none of this will work. Period.

To be honest, I'm sick of this.

1. I downloaded sas mod activator, however in the read me it said for dvd purchases...
2. i downloaded b29 silverplate, extracted and it still wont work

this is the reason I unistall a year ago and I love flying planes but it sucks when nothing works right for you.

Ok well to be honest you should just Start again and read my guide. IMO it isn't that hard to create a Modded install. Just follow the instructions. :wink:

With all due respect, there are a couple things that you need to do before you start adding mods, even with the SAS method of adding mods. My newbie guide will help you understand where you to need to be, which leads to the guide by Verhängnis about custom installing mods the SAS way.

Actually, you are only a couple steps from getting it. Did you install the 4.08m and then the 4.09m patch yet?
