Thanks for the DCG installation guide. Very clear instructions. DCG works so far, it seems, but for this "DCG Battle of Britain 1940" it does not generate a *Player defined Luftwaffe campaign. It works for RAF "Player defined..., but not German.

Hi,
No, no!
You must search after lines like:
* Luftwaffe Dive Bomber Battle of Britain 1940 (DCG)
* Luftwaffe Fighter Battle of Britain 1940 (DCG)
* Luftwaffe Fighter Bomber Battle of Britain 1940 (DCG)
* Luftwaffe Medium Bomber Battle of Britain 1940 (DCG)
* Luftwaffe Recon Bomber Battle of Britain 1940 (DCG)
or
* RAF Fighter Pilot Battle of Britain 1940 (DCG)
or
* Polish Fighter Pilot Battle of Britain 1940 (DCG)
Note: Before you must have copied all files from the "Battle of Britain 1940 V1.2 HSFX\DGen" folder into your "IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\DGen" folder.
I quit.
Thanks for the effort.
As opposed to what you said I should see, I see "German Bomber Pilot in Western Europe(DCG)" and German fighter pilot in Western Europe (DCG)" etc; None will generate.
For RAF I get the *Player defined etc ", but whether I havem chosen BOB1, BOB2, BOB3 or BOB4 in DCG campaign setup, I always start off with the same mission flying a Beaufighter...and continue to get only that choice. For me that's boring.
It doesn't work...for me. Maybe something got lost in translation, but after 2 1/2 days of fiddling with it, I'm gonna have to go on to other activities. Good luck to the others who have this campaign running..and thanks for all your effort in creating it.
I'm flying BOB1 as RAF....17 or so missions completed. I'm not sure how DCG works...What must I do to "complete" a campaign? Are there 'hidden' or primary tasks which I must perform along the way? I do note that in 'Victory text' it says I must simply "hold" until 11 August 1940. is that it? Then, at that point, will BOB2 missions automatically start being generated??? I mean, is BOB1 DCG campaign 'linked' to next (BOB2) campaign?

Hi,
There are no "hidden" or "primary" targets!
If the german side destroyed 70% of the ships type tanker0 before the 11.August, then it goes to the next sub-campaign!
If you fly for the RAF and you can prevent this till 11.August, then the campaign ends!

Doolittle81 Wrote:I don't get this. I have just completed the BoB 1 campaign. It is 12 August. I have a significant number of kills and awards.
I now get the message that the campaign is ended. (Oddly, the message says the Japanese have done something!!!!????!!!
So, I cannot go on to fly after 12 August as RAF against Luftwaffe in BoB 2 campaign, carrying over all my kills, wards, and statistics?
Makes no sense to me that because I flew well and was "successful" that the Game/Campaign is over.
Makes no sense? You stopped the germans so that they could not continue their campaign!
If you want more missions, start the second with the same pilot, doubleklick in the "Squadron Editor" panel of DCG on your Pilots name and change the kills and statistics for this campaign!
Thanks lonestar! I hope I didn't come across as critical of your Campaign. I thoroughly enjoyed BoB 1.
I'm not really very familiar with Dynamic campaigns...I'll do what you said about starting a BoB2 campaign. I'm hoping I can also copy over the content of my BofB 1 Logbook, events.dat, etc.
That is/was a very very very common error. I did not experience myself but i saw MANY refs to it back when HSFX and/or DCG came out. I just tried a search, but no results were returned (oddly). Hopefully someone will turn up with the answer, which as I recall was fairly simple. Maybe you should start a separate thread called "error:mesh 3do/humans/Paratroopers/Russia/"
ops. could solve the problem.
