Oh, that's beautiful, Hawk! It's dang hard to do too! Make a run in a perfect formation like that and the target is toast! :twisted:
Unless someone flies bombers a lot and is into it, they don't have any idea what a challenge it is. You've really got to line up on the target quite well early on. You can't be making sudden, large, last minute adjustments. It just doesn't work.
Control your speed, stay focused on the lead, keep your positions relative to one another. That takes concentration, anticipation and a light touch on the stick and throttle. When it all comes together, it's awesome!
Usually the biggest problem is finding fighters willing to escort AND fighters who know HOW to escort. It really stinks when you pull off a good run only to be taken out by enemy fighters either because you don't have escorts or because the escorts don't understand the difference between a dogfight and escort duty! :wink:
