If vpmedia linked his LandLight.mat with his repainted maps (by the method said earlier in this thread by bee), then in those maps you should see his settings. In maps which he didn’t repainted and didn’t linked them (if he did that in first place with any) you will see this. If he didn’t change anything, you should see this one. In any case you can change values in this files or those of vpmedia’s and set them according to your preferences, and I think it is best solution, for everyone to set for himself what he likes.
And here is mine conf.ini settings for OpenGL, I think it also affect those effects (like shadows of the tree rows).
