The 190 was a natural airplane .... a cadillac in comparison to a 109. Nice cockpit, all instruments where right where they should be, bubble canopy. Probably the plane of the war until the P51 Mustang came along. A P51 problem was the 85 gallons fuselage tank behind the cockpit. If this tank was completly full, the P51 was very unstable. You had to suck this tank down to round about 40 gallons before you could go into a dogfight and it still was very hard to stay behind a 190 at low speed.
