Yeah that's what i d don't like in the game(one of many) you can see the plane when you are in it's a$$ when i'm in my granpas apartment witch is on the 11th flour i can see the cars on the high way from probably 10km away and from 300m i can say what car it is,and here you can't ever read it's board number ... oh and speaking of WWII pilots i read somewere that some pilots saw the enemy planes because of the exaust flames in the night =)
